The Hens
Number 10
Number 10 is one of our beloved Wyandottes. Never at a loss for words, she can be found wandering the farm yard muttering endlessly. If only we knew what she was saying!
Cassiopeia
Cassie is an Ameraucana, She lays beautiful olive green eggs and has the gift of blending in. She's a master of disguise and sleight of hand.
Judy
Judy is a New Hampshire Red. She is sort of the matriarch of the farmyard, doing her bit to keep everyone else in line. She can always be found standing in the food bowl, monitoring everyone's intake.
Audrey
Audrey is a Rhode Island Red, and like her namesake Audrey Hepburn, she is always well turned out. Audrey is our barnyard police, and takes her job very seriously.
Lucille
Lucille is also a Rhode Island Red. She is also like her namesake Lucille Ball. We frequently ourselves saying "Lucy, you got some explaining to do".
Lavender
Lavender is a Black Orpington. She, like her sister, is docile and amiable. Happy to peck around the barnyard and do what chickens do.
Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a Black Orpington, she is named Elizabeth after Elizabeth Taylor because of the beautiful lavender sheen on her feathers that can only be seen in the sunlight. Liz is a little bit flashier and more outgoing than her sister Lavender, but just as sweet and amiable.
ZsaZsa
Zsa Zsa is a Brahma hen. She comes by her name because of her amazing fur "boots". We imagine Zsa Zsa Gabor styling when we see her. ZsaZsa is delightful and docile, doesn't mind being cuddled, and just generally hangs out in a good natured way.
Nebula
What can we say about our Nebs. She is an Ameraucana, like her sister Cassie. She is by far the quirkiest of the bunch. She's usually chatting loudly to herself, looks like she's wearing little overalls as she runs around the yard. She's always happy to see you and sometimes forgets that she doesn't really want to be cuddled. She's a little bit anxious and alot a bit adorable.
TwoTwo
TwoTwo is a New Hampshire Red. She is feisty and talkative and always a good natured scrap over grubblies.
Gretchen
Gretchen is a Wyandotte. We think the story the Chicken Little was written about her. We're pretty sure that's what she's saying as she runs around the barnyard muttering to herself.
The Roosters
Amadeus
An Ameracauna, Amadeus used to be the runt of batch. He now thinks he rules the roost. He's loud and proud and always up for a scrap, but underneath it all he's just a big softie.
Captain Jack
Also an Ameraucana, the name says it all. From his handsome plumage to his jaunty swagger he is Captain Jack Sparrow through and through.
